ISO
Certification

General Group Co. is an accredited certification body: we audit management systems against eight ISO standards and issue certificates that anyone can verify online.

Scope

ISO certification is independent proof that your management system actually does what the standard requires, and it is issued only after a two-stage audit by an accredited body.

Our accreditation comes from the Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre under AZS ISO/IEC 17021-1:2021, which means the certificates we sign are recognised, traceable and open to public checking. We certify against eight standards, from quality and environment through to information security and anti-bribery. Which one fits you is decided by what you do and by who is asking: many companies need more than one, because a tender, a bank and a partner can each want a different system certified. Several standards — quality, environment and occupational safety, for instance — can be combined into a single audit programme, which is more efficient than running three separate certifications. An ISO certificate is not the same thing as a licence or permit issued by a state authority: one is voluntary certification of a management system, the other is legal permission to operate, and neither replaces the other. Our own accreditation is checked the same way we check you: the Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre audits us on the same terms.

Why us

Why this practice, in three.

A certificate is worth what the body issuing it is itself checked against.

  • Our accreditation attestation is checkable: AZ 03.0031.01.26.

The Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre accredited us under AZS ISO/IEC 17021-1:2021 and audits us the same way we audit you. Unaccredited certificates, by contrast, are routinely rejected by tender committees.

  • Every certificate we issue can be checked online.

Your partner, a tender committee or your buyer can confirm the certificate themselves on our public verification page: no account, no request, no waiting. What makes a certificate credible is that someone independent of it can check it.

  • We do not build the system we certify.

The impartiality rule forbids it, and we observe it. In exchange, all of our certification procedures are published, so you can read in advance exactly what the audit will examine and in what order.

How it works

How an engagement
runs.

  1. Application & quote

You describe your organisation, sites, and scope; we confirm eligibility and quote the audit programme.

  2. Stage 1 — readiness review

Your documented system is reviewed against the standard; gaps are reported before the main audit.

  3. Stage 2 — certification audit

On-site audit of practice against the standard. Nonconformities, if any, are raised for correction.

  4. Decision & certificate

An independent decision-maker reviews the file; the certificate is issued for a three-year cycle.

  5. Surveillance & renewal

Annual surveillance audits keep the certificate valid; recertification follows in year three.

Eight: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety), ISO 22000 (food safety), ISO 27001 (information security), ISO 37001 (anti-bribery), ISO 10002 (customer satisfaction), and ISO 50001 (energy).

For a prepared organisation, typically four to eight weeks from application to certificate — driven by the size and scope of the system. Stage 1 tells you exactly how ready you are before Stage 2 begins.

An accredited certificate is backed by state recognition of the certification body itself — our accreditation is verifiable, our procedures are public, and every certificate can be checked online. Unaccredited certificates are routinely rejected in tenders.

Yes — certificates issued by other accredited bodies can be transferred without repeating the full cycle, subject to a review of the current certificate and audit history. Our certification procedures page describes the transfer rules.

It depends on what you do and on who is asking. Plenty of companies need several at once — a tender may want quality and environment certified together. Send us a short description of your situation and we will tell you which standards apply.

Yes, and it is known as an integrated audit. Standards like quality, environment and occupational safety are often combined into a single audit programme, which is more efficient than three separate processes.

An ISO certificate is voluntary certification of a management system; a state permit is legal permission to operate. They are different things and neither replaces the other — sometimes you need both.
