Purpose
This instruction sets out the principles for using the certificate, logo and certification mark once you’re certified.
Scope
It applies to every organisation that has been granted the right to use them.
General rules
- Use the certificate, logo and mark only as granted — within your certified scope, and in line with the certification directive and your agreement.
- Never use them in a way that implies General Group Co. or the accreditation body is responsible for your product or its content.
- Make sure anyone acting on your behalf follows these same rules.
- If your right to use them is suspended or cancelled, stop immediately and, on request, return or remove marked materials.
Rules for the management-system mark
- It must not be placed on a product, on product packaging, or anywhere it could be read as product conformity.
- It must not appear on test, calibration or inspection reports or certificates.
- It must not be used on your own product brands.
- Reference the certified standard correctly, and don’t extend the mark to activities or sites outside your certified scope.
What this means for you
Used correctly, the mark is a trust signal that survives scrutiny. These rules exist so that anyone who sees it can rely on exactly what it certifies — no more, no less.
