Statutory
Audit
Mandatory annual audit of financial statements for entities required by Azerbaijani law to be audited — planned around your calendar, finished on a date we commit to.
What is a statutory audit?
The annual examination of financial statements the law requires from certain companies.
The outcome is a signed auditor’s opinion: an independent judgement on whether your statements fairly present the company’s real position. A bank often decides on credit, a tender committee on prequalification, and an investor on trust by reading exactly this document. Whether the obligation applies to you depends on your legal form and size — we check that free of charge from a short set of details.

3 reasons to choose us.
The number of the licence behind the signature is public and checkable: № AT/290.
-
We work under the Chamber of Auditors licence.
Licence № AT/290, valid until 17.01.2029; the firm is a member of the Chamber and the document itself is published on our About page. Banks and tender committees look there before they read the opinion.
-
The deadline goes into the engagement letter as an obligation.
A mid-sized company’s audit runs two to six weeks. We plan the work around your reporting calendar, so your finance team is not doing two jobs at once in January.
-
You will never learn of a finding from the report first.
Issues are discussed with management as they surface, and anything correctable gets time before the opinion. We also explain in advance what the type of opinion will mean to a bank or an investor.
Asked &
answered.
It depends on your legal form and activity — joint-stock companies, banks, insurers, and several other categories are required by law; others are obliged by charter or by lenders. Send us your details and we will tell you plainly whether the obligation applies.
Findings go to management first, with time to correct what can be corrected. Material issues that remain are reflected in the opinion — that is what independence means. You will never learn about a finding from the report itself.
Before year-end. Planning in advance lets us attend inventory counts, agree confirmations early, and spread the work so your finance team isn’t flattened in January.
Fees scale with the size and complexity of the entity and the state of its records. After a short scoping review you receive a fixed quote in the engagement letter — no open-ended billing.
Four: unqualified, qualified, adverse, and a disclaimer of opinion. Each one directly shapes how a bank or an investor reads your statements, which is why we discuss the findings with you before the opinion is issued.
The law provides administrative penalties for it, and on top of that unaudited statements look unreliable to a bank, an investor or a tender committee. Both are risks — one legal, one commercial.
